The Quilt Between Us

by, Samantha Syrnich TLC

We weren’t made
to weather storms alone—
we were meant
to stitch our stories
into something warm enough
to hold us all.

Not loud confessions
shouted into silence,
but quiet pieces
of truth—
laid gently beside each other
like squares in a patchwork quilt.

I’ll give you a scrap
from the time I broke
but didn’t stay broken.

You’ll offer
a thread from the moment
you dared to begin again.

We don’t need every detail—
just a patch,
just a color,
just a corner
stitched with care.

This is how we mend—
not by unraveling alone,
but by quilting together
the softest parts
we once tried to hide.

One square at a time,
we become
a tapestry of courage,
stitched with trembling hands
and open hearts.

This—
this is vulnerability:

Not exposure,
but intimacy.
Not spectacle,
but sanctuary.

A shared blanket
for souls who remember
what it means to feel cold—
and choose,
together,
to feel warm.
