The 1904 Siddeley – A Testament to Engineering

Siddeley,
crafted in nineteen-oh-four,
A product of Coventry’s innovation and lore,
Born from the hands of John Davenport Siddeley,
A pioneer in the realm of early motoring machinery.

Powered by a modest two-cylinder heart,
Engineered to endure,
not built to dart,
Its hum a steady,
reliable sound,
A mark of strength, grounded and profound.

Chain-driven wheels mark its place in time,
A design from an era both simple and prime,
When every bolt and rivet held weight,
Crafted with care,
robust,
innate.

Open-top carriage,
high and narrow,
Built to weather each bump and furrow,
Guided by tiller or wheel in hand,
Siddeley moved with purpose across the land.

A forerunner of the Armstrong Siddeley line,
Setting foundations,
by design,
For luxury to follow in later years,
An emblem of early motoring pioneers.

Today,
a rarity,
a collector’s delight,
An artifact from a world painted in black and white,
The 1904 Siddeley stands bold and true,
