Voices Silenced, Freedom Bound

In shadows deep where power lies,
The truth is masked with hollow cries.
For speech,
once free,
is now restrained,
By those who fear what can’t be tamed.

They weave their lies,
a silken thread,
To bind the thoughts inside our head.
With every word they seek to bind,
The voices strong,
the hearts aligned.

From cities small to halls of state,
The freedom dies,
a silent fate.
In courts where justice should reside,
The truth is buried,
cast aside.

Yet stubborn hearts will not be stilled,
With courage strong,
and iron willed.
For freedom’s light,
though dimmed and strained,
Will break the chains,
though we are pained.

So rise we must,
with voices clear,
Against the silencing of fear.
For freedom’s song,
though often shushed,
Will one day roar,
when lies are crushed.
