Five years ago today, July 25th, 2025 the powerful documentary CONTRALAND aired live, shining a much-needed light on one of the darkest issues facing our world. As someone deeply moved by this cause, I want to share why this film was created and why it’s crucial for everyone to watch it.
Veterans For Child Rescue (V4CR), a 501c3 non-profit, was founded by Navy SEAL veteran Craig “Sawman” Sawyer after a heartbreaking tragedy in his own family exposed him to the horrors of sexual assault and child trafficking.

V4CR is staffed by military and law enforcement veterans dedicated to exposing and fighting child trafficking—the fastest-growing criminal enterprise on the planet, raking in $150 billion annually and destroying the lives of an estimated 5 million children worldwide.

The basis for CONTRALAND stems from this mission: to document the gruesome realities of the child trafficking trade through real operations, arrests, victim interviews, and expert insights. The reason behind it is simple yet profound—we can’t combat a threat if we’re not aware of it. This film pulls back the curtain on how predators groom and abuse children, right here in the USA, to educate and empower us all to take action.

It’s so important that everyone watches CONTRALAND because awareness is the first step to ending this epidemic.
