“Anyone who corrects the wicked will get hurt.
So don’t bother correcting mockers;
they will only hate you.
But correct the wise, and they will love you.
Instruct the wise, and they will be even wiser.
Teach the righteous, and they will learn even more.”
Here lies a foundational truth in leadership: Leaders lead leaders.
Real leaders aren’t afraid of correction—they invite it. They hunger for instruction, not because they lack value, but because they know they are being refined into something greater. Their egos don’t flinch at feedback because they understand that every correction is an opportunity to rise, not a threat to their identity.
By contrast, mockers and the wicked reject correction because they’re not seeking truth—they’re seeking control. They hate those who expose their error because their power depends on deception, not growth. Attempting to correct them isn’t leadership—it’s self-harm. The wisdom here urges you: Invest in those who are ready. Don’t cast your pearls before swine.
To be a wise leader is to be a wise discerner. This is spiritual leadership. It knows:
• Who to pour into
• When to walk away
• How to multiply truth by empowering those who are already walking in it
In other words, you lead the teachable, and you teach the willing. And those you lead will go on to lead others. That’s exponential impact. That’s how legacies are born.
If you’re called to leadership—start by finding the ones who listen.
Speak to the wise.
Strengthen the righteous.
And you’ll never lead alone.
