The 1960 Corvette in this picture brings it all back—
clear as sunlight on chrome.
It was our neighbor’s pride,
but to me, it symbolized everything I longed for:
the wind, the engine’s growl, the taste of freedom.
My big brother Christopher was learning to drive back then—
young, fearless, full of charm.
And I was the jealous little sister,
watching him from the sidewalk
as he slid behind the wheel like he was born for it.
Then came his first car:
a fire-red 1965 Mustang.
Iconic.
American steel with a rebel’s heart.
And again, I stood in awe.
Still jealous, yes.
But full of love and admiration
for the boy who became the man
I looked up to for life.
Cars weren’t just vehicles in our world.
They were legacy.
They were the roar of NASCAR echoing through our blood.
The thunder of motorcycles rolling in at dusk.
They were Grandpa Joe’s car lots across Seattle—
a chorus of engines and chrome.
And at the very heart of it all
was his bar inside Pike Place Market.
Not just a place to drink,
but a stage where sound met steel.
He flew musicians into town—
artists and legends—
just so people could experience live concerts
inside that hidden heartbeat of Seattle.
The music pulsed through the floorboards
like the mufflers lined up outside.
It was more than business.
It was culture.
It was ours.
That legacy was taken too soon.
But it was never lost.
And yet—neither that Corvette nor the Mustang
would be my first pick.
Because in the folds of my paper dreams,
I designed something else.
Not just imagined it—envisioned it.
I became its architect.
I call it Steel Requiem.
Forged of bulletproof metal.
Etched with fire and memory.
Its hood will bear our phoenix—
the same one my brother tattooed on each arm:
one for him,
and one for me.
Now it rises in steel,
drawn by my hand,
blazing with purpose.
This is no ordinary car.
It’s a mobile command station—
built for me and my dogs.
The AC works even when the engine’s off.
Two custom kennels in the back.
Slash-proof tires.
Hidden brake lines.
Built for survival.
Built for sovereignty.
I named it Steel Requiem
because it hums like a prayer in motion—
a tribute for the fallen,
and a testament to the living.
And when I take the wheel for the first time—
when rubber meets road and steel meets sky—
I’ll press play on the very first song:
🎵 “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons 🎵

“I’m waking up, I feel it in my bones…
Welcome to the new age…”
Because that’s what this moment is.
A resurrection.
A defiant breath.
A woman reborn behind the wheel of her own story.
The ignition of Steel Requiem is not just about horsepower—
it’s about becoming.
And this vehicle holds more than just my spirit.
It carries ten stories—ten truths—etched into its design:
🔹 Twin Flame — Our shared phoenix legacy.
🔹 Ashborne — Born of ash. Moving anyway.
🔹 Steel Requiem — The name. The motion. The meaning.
🔹 The Sovereign Phoenix — I bow to no cage.
🔹 Legacy Ignited — Grandpa Joe. Pike Place. My brother.
🔹 Redemption Run — I reclaim every road.
🔹 Feather & Fire — Soft. Fierce. Free.
🔹 Command Flame — Built with strategy, not style.
🔹 Second Arm — His tattoo for me. Now carried in full.
🔹 The Chrome Testament — Rebellion. Grace. Motion. Truth.
Steel Requiem isn’t built—yet.
But it lives.
And when it finally rolls out beneath the Austin sky,
I already know what Christopher woul’ve said, “Damn, sis… you really built it.”
